Alternatively the Sony Xperia Z can be picked up on cheaper £29, £33 and £37 tariffs, although you'll have to fork out £149, £99 or £49 for the handset, respectively. Vodafone isn't selling the handset on pay as you go price plans yet.
Although Vodafone's pricing isn't quite as cheap as that of its rival Three, which is offering the Xperia Z for free on a £36 per month tariff, the network is offering punters the same attractive headphone deal, under which the first 1,000 Xperia Z customers get a free pair of cans worth £299.
It remains unclear whether Vodafone will charge more to those who sign up for the 4G version of the handset once its LTE network launches later this year, but we've asked it for more information.
