Computex Taipei, was one of the year's biggest technology trade show. Demonstrations which took place in Taiwan in the new notebooks, tablets, PCs and PC components, the first time we met with. This article describes the most prominent stars of our activities we would like to introduce to you.

12. Intel Devil's Canyon 

Intel at Computex next to the new Haswell has already introduced two new processors. Core i7-4790 and Core i5-4690, with open multiplier and the overclocking enthusiasts are targeting these properties. Both processors will be released in June.

13.Asus Transformer Book V

MSI Launches Flagship LGA1150 Motherboard: Z87 XPOWER

MSI has officially revealed its new flagship Z87 motherboard, the Z87 XPOWER. The motherboard features the LGA1150 socket, which is fueled by a staggering 32-phase digital-PWM VRM design. The VRM circuitry draws its spike through not one, but two 8-pin EPS connectors -- which may say something about the motherboard's overclocking potential.

The motherboard also has support for up to 64 GB of DDR3-3000+ memory in a dual-channel configuration. It also supports up to four graphics cards in a 4-way SLI or CrossFireX configuration. To feed the cards enough lanes, MSI has opted to equip the board with a PLX PEX8747 PCIe 3.0 bridge chip, allowing for eight PCIe 3.0 lanes per graphics when all the slots are populated. Say, though, that you wish to use only one graphics card, one of the PCIe x16 slots is directly linked to the CPU, bypassing the bridge chip to prevent any possible latency issues. Storage is taken care of by six SATA3 ports driven by the Z87 chipset (one of which is sacrificed upon populating the integrated mSATA slot) and another four through an ASMedia ASM1061 controller.

Rear I/O connectivity is handled by a legacy PS/2 port, two USB 2.0 ports, eight USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet (driven by a Killer E2205 NIC), and 7.1 channel HD audio accompanied by an optical SPDIF TOSLINK output. Connectors for the antenna of the 802.11n WiFi adapter are also found on the rear I/O. Internally, the motherboard also has four USB 2.0 ports through internal headers as well as another four USB 3.0 ports.

MSI gave no word on when the board would be available through retail channels, nor did it inform us of its MSRP.

Originally developed for boring tasks like industrial PCs and point-of-sale terminals, AMD breathed new life into VIA’s single-slot mini-ITX form factor with its own dual-slot DTX version. Soon after, the combination of motherboards with one expansion slot and cases able to take dual-slot cards became the standard for portable gaming PCs. But Intel ironically appears to be the biggest beneficiary of AMD's efforts. After all, it sells the high-performance, low-heat processors needed in a fast, quiet platform with big-time thermal constraints. Ouch.
As a result, we demand a lot more from small gaming-oriented machines. It's no longer acceptable to simply build a system that excels at video playback, particularly when technologies like AMD's VCE and Intel's Quick Sync accelerate that workload right on the APU or CPU itself. And with system builders putting 4.3 GHz Core i7s and GeForce GTX 680s into mini-ITX-based platforms four inches thick (Meet The Tiki: Core i7-3770K And GeForce GTX 680 In A Mini-ITX Box?), enthusiasts will no doubt want to the ability to build similarly-potent boxes.
But if it's possible to cram the goodness of Intel's Ivy Bridge and efficient graphics architectures like Kepler into mini-ITX using Intel's mainstream H77 Express chipset, why bother spending more on a Z77 Express-based board? Well, it wouldn't have been possible for Falcon Northwest to have hit 4.3 GHz in its Tiki using H77, for starters. Overclocking demands that you spring for the pricier core logic. Although we doubt you'd care too much about tuning up a home theater PC, we’re nevertheless intrigued by motherboards that can serve that market in addition to the performance-hungry gaming industry.
We see today’s motherboards with Intel's flagship mainstream chipset as enablers of the best from both worlds. Of course, if you disagree and only really want to build a stock-clocked media-oriented machine, simply step down to the H77-based versions of the boards we're testing today.

High-end chipsets represent only a small part of the mini-ITX market, so we weren’t surprised to find only a handful of available products. It was more surprising to us that there were two companies selling Z77-based boards that specifically asked not to be included. In some cases, it seems that vendors are using pricier Z77 Express platform controller hubs for segmentation, while focusing more intently on the markets typically served by H77's feature set.

MSI Teases With G-Series Motherboards, GPUs & All-in-Ones.

MSI is teasing us yet again with its new lineup of G-Series products.
With the release of its G-series motherboards, MSI will be joining manufacturers like Asus, ASRock and Gigabyte and enter the market of high-end motherboards. Though details are still scarce, we are fairly certain that they will feature Creative's Sound Blast Cinema audio and Killer's E2200 networking chips. In addition to the G-Series, MSI is also expected to showcase a variety of other motherboards at CeBIT including mini-ITX, FM2, B75 Business and Thunderbolt powered motherboards.

Despite the majority of its graphics cards already being gaming orientated, MSI has created a G-Series lineup of graphics cards which will match the colour scheme of the aforementioned G-series motherboards. We can also expect this range of graphics cards to have higher clock speeds than the reference models since we already see this in the company's popular Lightning cards.

By far the most interesting G-series product is the upcoming release of gaming All-in-one PCs which continues the company's recent push towards new form factors . The new AIO PCs are expected to come with a range of CPU options (upto an Ivy Bridge i7), a GTX670MX graphics card and a 27" anti-glare Full HD touch screen panel.
As this is simply a teaser, we fully expect more information to be revealed during CeBIT from the 5th to the 9th of March in Germany.
