LG Announces Optimus G Pro to Hit U.S. in Q2

The company’s updated high-end smartphone — it’s Optimus G Pro, which is powerfully equipped with a 1.7-GHz quad-core processor and LTE wireless networking, will be reaching the U.S. market by Q2, released LG on Monday.
The Android phone will most likely see an initial release in South Korea, followed by North America and Japan in the second quarter of 2013.
This Optimus G Pro news comes just a week after the company announced three updated lower-end L-series models, the Optimus L7 II, Optimus L5 II and the Optimus L3 II. These all will be unveiled at MWC in Barcelona next week.
Quite literally, the most eye-catching spec on the Optimus G Pro is it’s large 5.5-inch, 1920×1080-pixel AMOLED screen — that’s 400 pixels per inch. It’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor runs smoothly on 2GB of dedicated RAM and will last decently long between charges with it’s 3,140mAh rechargeable battery.
It’s sports a 13-megapixel rear LED-flash camera and a 2.1-megapixel front snapper — which can be used simultaneously. LG points out it’s ‘VR Panorama’ feature, allowing photographers to easily capture 360-degree panoramas in both horizontal and vertical news.
